2009 ROSSION Q1
NEWS & REVIEWS
The Rossion Q1 is the result of the lessons learned in extensive testing, sale, and support. It is a logical development of its predecessor. Every subtle performance change and design nuance was carefully implemented to make the car more comfortable and inviting, while further improving overall performance. The most striking element of the Q1 is the beautifully proportioned shape giving the Rossion a sultry, aggressive look while further enhancing performance aspects. The body panels retain the autoclaved composite construction, delivering superb surface finish and precise panel fit. Large charge air cooler intakes have been integrated into the body shape, with cool energized ram air gathered through carefully integrated side window (B pillar) ducts. Here, superior aerodynamic design reaps benefits in the form of engine power and efficiency. In the rear, a deep, efficient diffuser works in concert with the flat under tray to create down force on the chassis, for high speed grip and stability. The cockpit is comfortable and beautifully appointed, while maintaining the true, unfettered purpose of a sports car. In this high-performance road car, the interior is a careful blend of form and function. The controls are grouped in a intuitive manner, easy to manipulate and free of meddling distractions. The seats are perfectly shaped carbon fiber, with combinations of glove soft leather and luxurious but durable Alcantara. The style and practicality extends to the uniquely executed, Rossion exclusive materials of the interior trim. Interior trim options include combinations of leather, Alcantara, aluminum in tasteful color combinations, each finished with the care that becomes a world class supercar. To further enhance the driving experience, the instrument panel has been designed with all of the critical instruments grouped in front of the driver. The control layout is intuitive and logical for both touring and track use. From the position of the tilt/telescopic adjustable MOMO steering wheel to the carefully placed aluminum pedals, the Q1 has been optimized for comfortable spirited driving, and can accommodate drivers as tall as 6’5”. It is suggested that the Q1 be powered by the twin turbo charged Ford/Jaguar Duratec V6 engine. This lightweight engine is controlled by a powerful engine management system carrying the latest onboard diagnostic technology. A lightweight low restriction exhaust system is also supplied with Rossion Q1 chassis, increasing the available horsepower for the suggested drivetrain to a pavement blistering 450 horsepower with more than 400 lb. ft. torque. The performance is truly mind-boggling. With 0-60 mph times in 3.3 seconds, standing ¼ mile in 11.4 seconds at 120 mph with the ability to circulate the skid pad at over 1.1 G on its standard equipment tires, the new Q1 offers vicious performance and easily puts the supercar in the ranks of the quickest road cars available, at any price. But performance is only part of the appeal of the Rossion. It is the extraordinary feel behind the wheel and how the Rossion couples the truly exciting classic principals of driving with modern day technology. This is a supercar that takes extraordinary care of its driver with solid handling, even at the limits of adhesion. With a stunning new design and acceleration power that leaves drivers speechless, the Q1 is the perfection of the supercar.

2008 ROSSION Q1
NEWS & REVIEWS
Call it a “Noble” effort. Earlier this year, the guys at 1G Racing, in Cincinnati, Ohio, bought the U.S. rights for the design and production of the South African-built Noble M12 and M400 supercars. The only condition: they had to rename the car. So welcome to the Rossion Q1, with “Rossion” being an amalgam of the names of the new owners, Dean Rosen and Ian Grunes. With the takeover, they’ve taken the opportunity to do a little exterior redesign work, softening the M400’s angry front end and tidying up the rear. Inside, they’re adding hand-stitched leather trim and high-end sound systems. As before, you can buy the car sans the engine, and either install your own or let Rossion fit a Rousch-built twin-turbo 3.0-liter Ford V-6 that cranks out 450 bhp. In this guise, you get zero-to-60-mph acceleration in just 3.2 seconds and a genuine 185-mph top speed. The first cars will start arriving later this year.
