The ultimate roadgoing track car, the Caparo T1 has been engineered by men who helped develop the McLaren F1 and is the first production car with more than 1,000-hp per ton, exceeding the Bugatti Veyron. Top speed of this fighter-on-wheels is more than 200 mph, and it will blast from zero-to-60 mph in a gut-wrenching F1 equivalent of 2.5 seconds. It generates the same level of grip as a Le Mans racecar and will corner at 3.0 g. The British-built Caparo uses the latest aerospace-carbon-fiber materials to form an incredibly strong tub, with racecar-style, fully adjustable suspension. Aerodynamics are a mix of a single seater and a sports cars, and power comes from an Indy-style 3.5-liter V-8 that revs to 10,500 rpm and can run on methanol to appeal to those with a green conscience.
