NEWS & REVIEWS What happens when a back-to-basics Lotus Seven sports car has a flagrante delicto coupling with a Kawasaki super bike? You get a Campagna T-Rex. This three-wheel rocket ship, powered by a 152-hp Kawasaki ZZR 1200 in-line four, is the creation of Canadian, Daniel Campagna, a former Formula One mechanic. It features two wheels up front and a single, monster 17-inch rim at the back, shod with 285/40ZR-17 rubber to deliver the power to the ground. Weighing a mere 900 pounds, the trike is terrifyingly quick. Zero-to-60 comes up in 4.1 seconds with the top speed being listed as 140 mph. A six-speed close-ratio ’box with a sequential shift, fires off changes like an AK-47. Inside, there are two seats side-by-side, with luggage space taken care of courtesy of a couple of motorcycle-style panniers in front of the rear wheel.
