VIDEO: NEWS & REVIEWS Even more dynamic, lighter, more powerful and stunning—the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is the new top model in the Gallardo lineup. Its evocative “superlight” badge makes its entrance to continue the success of its predecessor, launched in 2007, of which Lamborghini produced and sold no less than 618 in just one year. Compared with the already lean Gallardo LP 560-4, the weight of the Gallardo Superleggera has been trimmed by 154 lbs. The super sportscar boasts a dry weight of no more than 2,954 lbs.—the lightest road-going model in Lamborghini’s range. One key factor is the exterior and interior components made from carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is ideal for the manufacture of sportscars as its use allows for weight reduction and improved mechanical features. The car’s performance is thus enhanced thanks to a better weight-to-power ratio and reduced total mass, which means that CO2 emissions are also lower. Lamborghini has been at the forefront in this material’s application for many years, and now the brand is extending its leadership even further. The V-10 power unit with 5.2 liters of displacement generates 562 hp in the Gallardo Superleggera; the weight-to-power ratio of the new top model guarantees breathtaking performance. The Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera handles the dash from zero-to-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and flies past the 124 mph mark only 10.2 seconds later, ultimately reaching 202 mph. The engine also boasts an impressive degree of efficiency; its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by 20 percent compared to the previous model. The Gallardo Superleggera is an uncompromising driving machine. Its running gear, with its mighty braking system, has a dedicated and exceptionally precise set-up, while its 19-inch wheels, Pirelli P Zero Corsa, clad in Pirelli sports rubber, are extremely light. Exterior modifications are all directed at increasing aerodynamic effects. Working closely with wind tunnel experts, the designers from Lamborghini remodeled the front bumper and together with the sharply defined nose and the LED daytime running lights, the black elements give the front end a razor-sharp look, reminiscent of Lamborghini’s top model, the LP670-4. The new design increases the supply of cooling air and improves the downforce on the front axle. The modifications to the fully-covered underbody, which include new sill elements and a redesigned diffuser incorporating four large tailpipes, help to achieve better aerodynamics as well. The Gallardo Superleggera sports a small rear spoiler as standard. A big rear spoiler is available as an option. To achieve its weight-reduction goals, Lamborghini replaced the rear windshield and side windows with polycarbonate. The engine cover also includes a polycarbonate window; beneath the V-10 engine is displayed like a technical work of art. Engineers selected carbon-fiber for the rear spoiler, sills, diffuser, parts of the underbody paneling, and the fine exterior mirror casings. Altogether, carbon fiber components make up 88 lbs. of the 154 lbs. saved. Behind the huge wheels are brakes that serve to deliver uncompromising stopping power. The front wheels are served by aluminum eight-piston calipers, with four-piston units at the rear. The ventilated brake discs have a diameter of 14.37 and 14.02 inches, respectively. As an optional extra, Lamborghini can fit extremely fade resistant and lightweight discs made from carbon fiber ceramic with six pistons at the front. The front ceramic discs have a diameter of 15 inches. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is delivered with an array of other high-end features, including the e-gear transmission—a manual gearbox is also available at no additional cost. The new traction control is the fastest reacting in the industry, with auto adapt functionality for different road conditions and driving styles as well as several manual settings. Koenigsegg has also developed a new type of interior illumination called Ghost light. The illumination shines through the billet aluminum buttons and surfaces by way of invisible nanotubes, creating excellent visibility of the symbols, as well as a very clean and stylish appearance, framed by an all-new carbon fiber center console and tunnel assembly. Furthermore, the driver can easily select the information he wants displayed in front of him, on the all new multi-information cluster. The car display can range from G-force meter, power meters, satellite navigation, music, lap timer or compasses. FEATURED ARTICLE - 2010 Pagani ZONDA Tricolore

NEWS & REVIEWS Designed to be even more rare than the Zonda Cinque and Cinque Roadster, Pagani has built a one-off model presumably before the car is replaced by the new C9 and rumored to be for Guarnieri—the sole importer for Pagani cars in Spain. The car pays tribute to the Frecce Tricolori or the Italian Air Force aerobatic team. The car has some added aerodynamic and cooling features including a small fin that sits atop the engine cover, scoops on top of the rear fenders, and the front splitter, diffuser, and rear wing off the Cinque. The blue-tinted carbon fiber, yellow rims, and tri-color strips are some of the car’s more distinctive features. Price is approximately $1.75 million. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the “Frecce Tricolori,” Pagani Automobili created the Zonda Tricolore as a tribute to the National Aerobatic Team. The Frecce Tricolori (in Italian it literally means Tricolor Arrows), officially known as the 313th Aerobatic Training Squadron is the demonstration team of the Italian Air Force. The team was formed in 1961. 2011 Porsche 911 RUF RGT-8

NEWS & REVIEWS Almost 10 years ago, RUF began to fill niches in the market with the then-new water-cooled Porsche models. The first RUF RGT was based on the Porsche 996. It used the 3.6 liter engine from the GT3 as the base. The engine delivered 385 hp. The car itself ran on 18-inch RUF alloy wheels and the narrow body was optimized aerodynamically. The vehicle was fitted with a discrete but functional integrated roll cage. In 2004 the story continued, this time based on the Porsche 997. The car was easily recognized by the screwed-on carbon-composite fender extensions on both the front and rear. The powerplant was a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter unit delivering 445 hp. A dry-sump oil system ensured sufficient lubrication even under tough racing conditions. A roll-cage was fitted as standard ensuring a high level of passive safety. The RGT was supplied with a chassis optimized for the race track and ran on 19-inch alloy wheels. Now the time is right for RUF to announce the next generation of RGT, the RGT-8. This spectacular prototype vehicle is powered by a completely new RUF designed V-8 engine with a "Flatcrank” crankshaft. Four valves together with multipoint fuel injection ensure optimal mixture conditions while the dry-sump system supplies the necessary lubrication. The lightweight engine has a very compact design, has a capacity of 4.5 liters, and delivers 542 hp at 8,500rpm and a maximum torque of 369 lbs.-ft. at 5,400 rpm. At all stages of the design process, keeping the engine compact and low in weight were the priority. The result is a total engine weight of less than 440 pounds. A six-speed gearbox with shortened gear-shift movement transfers the power to the rear axle. To ensure the best adhesion characteristics, the RGT-8 is supplied with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires running on 19-inch RUF forged alloy wheels utilizing a single central retaining nut. The powertrain is rounded off with sturdy ceramic brakes as standard for optimal braking. The current Porsche 911 forms the basis for the RGT-8 chassis, which is then further optimized with bodywork components from RUF. As always, an integrated roll-cage is supplied delivering increased chassis stability and passive safety. In addition, it is pleased to offer a Frère package which enhances the standard vehicle with special front fenders, nose, and dashboard components. The styling was inspired by the 550 Coupé with which Paul Frère, the Belgian race driver, won the best of class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1953. Production of the RUF RGT-8 is planned for 2011. 2012 Ford Police Interceptor

NEWS & REVIEWS Ford has revealed its all-new purpose-built Police Interceptor, engineered to exceed the durability, safety, and performance requirements of today's leading police car—the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Ford has designed and engineered an all-new Police Interceptor to handle the rigors of police work. To develop the all-new Police Interceptor, Ford engineers worked hand-in-hand with Ford's Police Advisory Board of law enforcement professionals, which provided input on key vehicle attributes such as safety, performance, durability, driver comfort, and functionality. Ford will also add a second Police Interceptor to the lineup, a utility vehicle to provide customers a choice of the best vehicle to suit their needs. Ford will provide two V-6 powertrain options, both of which performs equal to or better than many V-8 engines. A highly efficient 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivering no less than 263 hp is 25 percent more efficient than the 4.6-liter SOHC V-8 offered in the current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The new engine is also E85 compatible. An all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 twin-turbocharged direct-injection engine will also be available; it delivers at least 365 horsepower and 350 lbs.-ft.of torque across a broad rpm range. A six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission puts the power to the road via the sophisticated torque-sensing all-wheel-drive system. Throughout its development, Ford's new Police Interceptor has been put through the paces, undergoing a battery of torture tests to ensure its individual components can hold up to the rigorous driving styles of police professionals. To meet the rigors of the durability testing, the brakes have been increased in size and performance. The cooling package is purpose-built as well, featuring a heavy-duty alternator and larger radiator. Its honeycomb grille is designed to work in harmony with the interior components, offering more air flow throughout the vehicle. The standard 18-inch steel wheels are also vented and designed to work in concert with the enhanced brake system. Front seats have been specially designed, with a lower bolster removed to better accommodate officers' utility belts. Inserted into the seatback are anti-stab plates, designed to protect front-seat occupants. In the rear, the vinyl seats are specially sculpted and set back to improve second-row space and maximize legroom. The back door hinges are modified to open up an additional 10 degrees compared to traditional rear doors. The Ford Police Interceptor also is equipped with a column shifter; freeing up more room for the ever-increasing amounts of aftermarket police equipment necessary for officers to do their jobs. Ford's new Police Interceptor sedan will be manufactured at Ford's Chicago Assembly Plant and will be offered without interruption when production of the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor ends in late 2011. 2011 Chevrolet CORVETTE Z06 Carbon Edition

NEWS & REVIEWS When the 2006 Corvette Z06 was introduced, it represented the closest connection to the Corvette race cars ever. The 2009 Corvette ZR1 closed the gap between racing and production even further. This year, Corvette continues its tradition of track-to-street technology transfer with the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition. The Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition is another example of the expanded Corvette line-up. Five years ago, customers had the choice of a Corvette coupe or convertible. With the addition of the Z06, Grand Sport coupe and convertible and ZR1, Corvette enthusiasts now have more choices than ever. This limited edition Z06 will boast Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with specific dark gray metallic calipers. These powerful brakes were first introduced on the ZR1. Black 20-spoke 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels complement the car's Michelin PS2 tires. Other mechanical features include Magnetic Selective Ride Control for the first time on the Z06 and enhanced cooling. The car also features a special carbon pattern engine cover. The Corvette Z06 Carbon will be available in two colors: Inferno Orange and the all-new Supersonic Blue. Black headlamps and mirrors, a ZR1-style body color spoiler, body-color door handles, carbon-fiber raised hood, and black carbon-fiber rockers and splitter enhance the Z06's dynamic design and reduce mass and aerodynamic lift. For track events, customers can also install the Euro-styled racing numbers that come with each car. The Z06 Carbon's ebony leather and suede interior is complemented by blue or orange seat stitching to match the exterior color chosen. Other features include a unique steering wheel emblem, sill plate, and logoed headrest. The suede used on the steering wheel, shifter, seat inserts, armrests, and doors add to the luxury of this limited edition Z06. An optional Z07 performance package that includes the mechanical upgrades introduced on the Z06 Carbon can be added to a regular 2011 Z06. This package also includes Competition Gray 20-spoke wheels and all the chassis and cooling upgrades. The CFZ Z06 carbon fiber package includes black carbon-fiber rockers, splitter, and roof panel with the full-width body color spoiler. It can also be purchased with or without the Z07 package on regular Z06 models. 2010 Ferrari California Novitec Rosso Supercharged

NEWS & REVIEWS Engine tuning using a supercharger is Novitec Rosso’s recipe for making the Ferrari California even more powerful and even sportier. The new supercharged engine represents an increase in power output for the 4.3-liter V8 from standard 460 hp to 606 hp. Custom-tailored Novitec Rosso wheels with diameters of 21 and 22 inches, a sporty aerodynamic-enhancement kit, and exclusive interior options add further striking highlights. The Novitec Rosso specialists fit the eight-cylinder four-valve engine of the California with a mechanical charger driven by the crankshaft via a cogged belt. Boost pressure is limited to 14.5 psi. The system also includes a water-to-air intercooler, a custom intake manifold, and larger injectors. On the exhaust side the car is equipped with a Novitec Rosso stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with sport catalysts. An integrated flap mechanism activated by a small switch on the steering wheel called the ‘manettino’ controls the intensity of the exhaust note. Precision-calibrated mapping for the engine electronics ensure optimal power yield and perfect reliability. The Novitec Rosso compressor conversion bumps power output of the ragtop GT from standard 460 hp to 606 hp at 7,900 rpm. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 358 lbs.-ft. to 445 lbs.-ft. at 5,500 rpm. The car’s performance speaks volumes: Acceleration from rest to 62 mph takes less than 3.8 seconds; top speed increases to 202 mph. In addition to more power Novitec Rosso also offers exclusive upgrades for body, suspension and the interior. The body of the California is dressed up in a sporty yet elegant designer suit which is also available in a version made from Carbon. The shape of the Novitec Rosso front spoiler was developed in the wind tunnel and it lends the front-engine sports car an even more dynamic profile. With its sophisticated shape, the spoiler reduces lift on the front axle for further improved directional stability at high speeds. New rocker panels with integrated airfoils and black side markers add striking new highlights to the sides of the two-door car. The aerodynamic concept is rounded out with a rear diffuser and rear spoiler lip that both further minimize unwanted lift on the rear axle. A carbon-fiber rear molding adds the finishing touches to the Novitec Rosso look for the Ferrari California. Gorgeous three-piece Novitec Rosso NF3 wheels help further improve driving dynamics. The combination of size 21-inch wheels in front and 22-inch on the rear axle further emphasizes the wedge shape of the sports car. Technology partner Pirelli supplies high-performance tires custom-tailored to this vehicle. The tires are mounted in size 255/30 ZR 21 on the front axle. In the rear tires in size 315/25 ZR 22 provide optimal traction. The Novitec Rosso sport springs are calibrated specifically to this tire/wheel combination. They also lower the ride height of the Ferrari by some 1.4 inches. The suspension engineers have further developed a custom feature that makes the California even better suited for everyday use. A hydraulic lift system for the front axle can raise the front of the car by 1.6 inches at the push of a button. This makes it easier to navigate obstacles such as speed bumps or parking garage ramps. The front reverts to its original position at a second push of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 50 mph. Novitec Rosso can also fulfill Ferrari California owners’ requests for interior customization. 2010 Aston Martin DBS Edo Comeptition

NEWS & REVIEWS The 12-cylinder flagship from Aston Martin already produces 517 horsepower and boasts a top speed of more than 186 mph. Improving on those numbers while underlining the elegance and beautiful design of this British knockout and strengthening its sporting credentials was the goal declared by edo Competition. The power output was tackled first. It was agreed that 517 hp and 420 lbs.-ft. are not quite enough. The engine control unit was modified via software recalibration. Thanks to a new high-performance exhaust system, special catalytic converters, and high-flow air filters, power output was increased to an impressive 550 hp and 442 lbs.-ft. This is enough power to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 199 mph. As a matter of principle all modifications performed by edo Competition are calibrated and verified on a dynamometer. This way the true power output can be documented. The high-performance exhaust system, which was specially designed for the DBS, incorporates butterfly valves allowing it to produce a fantastically rich and sonorous sound. They further help increase the British luxury coupe’s power and torque output. The exhaust comes with a programmable control system that monitors backpressure inside the exhaust and opens the 70 mm butterfly valves when a pre-determined level of backpressure is exceeded. The unique advantage of this system is that it provides good torque at low engine speeds without sacrificing top end horsepower. The exhaust system is made from stainless steel and the chromed exhaust tips accentuate the elegant design. The driver can adjust the sound of the DBS at any time using a remote control. The edo Competition sports suspension system for the DBS ensures exceptional ride comfort and superior driving dynamics. Thanks to its adjustability in height, compression and rebound damping, the setup can be matched to the customer’s driving style. The new suspension provides more cornering grip while improving high speed stability and comfort. 2010 TESLA ROADSTER TAG Heuer

NEWS & REVIEWS Luxury Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer and electric carmaker Tesla Motors have teamed up to celebrate the well-known watch brand’s 150th anniversary. Currently on display at the Geneva Motor Show is the 2010 TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster. This one-of-a-kind collector's car includes a unique interior incorporating TAG Heuer avant-garde design elements and a specially designed center console. The car will host TAG Heuer’s cutting edge concept watch, to be revealed in Basel on March 18. The 2010 TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster also features a TAG Heuer Meridiist mobile phone a as well as a one-fifth-second Heuer limited-edition stopwatch (Note: Tag Heuer also teamed up with Lamborghini to bring 1,963 special TAG Heuer Meridiist Lamborghini Edition phones to market in order to commemorate the year the exotic-car manufacturer was established).This Swiss-made timepiece with mechanical movement pays tribute to the 1860 founding of the company and summons the mythic revival of the brand's vintage stopwatches. The car's exterior color scheme is Foucault Field Gray, embodying the innovative spirit of both companies. The design was inspired by the new TAG Heuer concept watch. The 2010 TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster will remain at the Tesla booth during the public show days, March 4-14. The car will then be driven to Baselworld, the world's largest watch exhibition, for a special event March 18. Since its founding in an artisan's workshop in the Swiss Jura, TAG Heuer has become one of the world's best-known luxury brands—maker of avant-garde watches, eyewear, and premium mobile phones for refined consumers around the globe. TAG Heuer, a star brand from the luxury group Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. Company founder Edouard Heuer received a patent in 1911 for the first car dashboard chronograph, followed in 1933 by the first dashboard timekeeper for both automobiles and aviation. 2010 Lamborghini GALLARDO BF Performance GT600

NEWS & REVIEWS In the Swiss city of Zug, perfection has a different meaning than in the Italian town of Sant’Agata Bolognese. For the Swiss the Gallardo is too innocent. BF Performance noticed that the LP560-4 was neither dynamic nor individual enough to meet country’s tastes. Therefore, in turn, it has created the GT600 coupé and spyder, which comes with stronger performance, more self-confidence, and more aggressive looks. To optimize under-body aerodynamics, carbon-fiber side skirts and a rear diffuser have been added. The striking carbon-fiber rear wing provides additional downforce. Its edged design perfects the design language of the Lamborghini and gives the Gallardo the finishing touch. The wing doors are a trademark Lamborghini-styling product and are normally limited to Lamborghini models with twelve-cylinder engines. Due to the refinement by BF-performance, the GT600 with a V-10 engine can be equipped with these doors. Of course, most of the engineer’s focus was on engine performance. For those that would rather embrace the 550-2 Balboni, BF-performance can turn the car from four-wheel drive to a rear-wheel drive. The GT600 combines the exclusive feature of the Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni with even more performance. The new engine power and 99 pounds of saved weight automatically bestows the car with its own unique driving experience. The interior also can be custom tailored. Apart from the sports bucket seats, BF-performance also offers five-point belts, a roll-over cage, and a carbon-ceramic braking system. BF-performance also uses carbon fiber on the steering wheel, door handles, ventilation grids, and even the switch casings.
