According to Car, Ferrari has a round of subtle enhancements in store for the 2012 Ferrari California. The 4.3-liter V-8 will now produce 30 more horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque for a total of 483 hp and 373 lb-ft. It will also have 66 less pounds to move thanks to new lighter alloys used in parts of the chassis. As a result of the power gain and reduction in weight, the zero-to-60-mph time has reduced from 3.9 to 3.85 seconds. Optionally available is a Handling Special package, which features faster reacting dampers and faster responses from the electronic control unit that determines when those dampers will change their viscosity.
These changes will join a variety of smaller tweaks including the availability of a silver fleck grille and new bigger in-car hard drive.
