The new Aston Martin V-12 Zagato production car will be appearing at the Frankfurt Motor Show alongside the One-77 supercar and the recently launched Virage and V-8 Vantage S.
The car pictured is one of the two that will be on display. It features a classy green finish and a full aerodynamic package including front splitter, dive planes, rear diffuser, and large spoiler. The car, nicknamed "Zig" by the factory team, was outfitted to compete on Nurburgring.
Based on the V-12 Vantage and wearing handcrafted aluminum and carbon fiber body panels, the Aston Martin V-12 Zagato has been cleared for a limited production run beginning in the second half of 2012. Squeezing in between the flagship One-77 and the DBS, the V-12 Zagato will be priced at £330,000 or approximately $528,000. Limited to 150 units and being sold on a first-come first-served basis, the V-12 Zagato is the work of Italian coachbuilder Zagato and pays homage to the 1961 DB4GT Zagato.
