Say hello to the 2013 SSC Tuatara, pronounced Twu-tar-ah.
Following its announcement after the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport took the world’s-fastest-production-car crown and after several years of development, SSC’s next supercar, previously known as Next Generation, now has an official name. Its name is derived from a modern-day New Zealand reptile and means "peaks on the back," which SSC thinks is fitting due small winglets on the back of its new car. It also seems that the Tuatara lizard is known for its fast evolving DNA. And as far as SSC is concerned, so should its supercars.
