Lingenfelter Supercharger Package for the 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger announced

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) is the second tuner to make news as of recently for slapping a supercharger onto the outgoing 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 in the 2008–2010 Dodge Challenger (the other was SpeedFactory's SF700R package). Lingenfelter's Dodge Challenger Supercharger Package is available for both the R/T (5.7-liter V-8) and SRT8 (6.1-liter V-8). It features a Magnuson intercooled supercharger system in a black powdercoat finish. Lingfelter also added properly sized fuel injectors and a high-flow air intake system. A chrome upgrade to the supercharger case is optional.

The result is 500 rear-wheel hp and 450 lb-ft of torque at six psi of boost on a SRT8-modified car. A test of the stock car before the enhancements produced 373 rear-wheel hp and 355 lb-ft of torque, showing an increase of 127 hp and 95 lb-ft of torque with the Lingenfelter system. Accounting for driveline power losses and we estimate the car’s engine after the Lingenfelter upgrades produces around 560–580 hp. Owner Ken Lingenfelter says the Dodge Challenger SRT8 with the Lingenfelter Supercharger Package is capable of quarter-mile runs in 12.03-seconds at 120 mph.

Each package takes 1–2 weeks to install with a pre-scheduled appointment and comes with a three-year / 36,000-mile warranty.
