Motus Motorcycles, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, has unveiled a new series of comfortable sportbikes called the MST. The MST stands out thanks to its direct-injected gasoline 1650cc V-4 engine, the first gasoline direct-injected V-4 motorcycle engine. The Motus engine, dubbed the KMV4, is capable of producing 140 hp at 7,800 rpm and 119 ft-lb of torque at 4,500 rpm.
Motus’s focus was squarely aimed at the bike’s comfort and range without sacrificing performance. It is a touring bike, designed to travel long distances more comfortably.
The MST prototypes, including the base model MST and the premium MST-R, are scheduled to go into production in late 2011 after extensive testing and refinement by the manufacturer.
