Police in Oregon arrested a man for videotaping his 2005 BMW driving in excess of 140 mph. Stanislav Vadimovich Bakanov was pulled over in Portland, Oregon, after being clocked at 118 mph. Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Postlewait noticed the man’s camera and, when asked, Bakanov admitted to recording his speedometer and his traffic citation for YouTube. Bakanov was arrested, charged with reckless driving and speeding, and his camera was confiscated. The video of his 140-mph run will be used as evidence against him in his upcoming trial. No word if Bakanov still plans to one day put his video on YouTube.
In the meantime, you can always watch the video below offered by a Bugatti Veyron owner. He conducted a 219-mph run on the Autobahn with a set of police lights to help clear a path.
