Mercedes-Benz stopped building the SLR McLaren last year. Now reports say McLaren will be taking the reins and re-releasing a small batch of SLR cars called simply enough the “SLR McLaren Edition.” The 25-unit run will be separated from a base Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren via new aerodynamic modifications and some handling and suspension tweaks. No word if the car will make the same 617 hp as the base SLR or utilize the more-powerful 650-hp SLR 722 power plant.
