All Volkswagen wanted to do was build the greatest supercars ever known and, to commemorate its awesomeness, take and hold the title of the world’s fastest production automobile, at least until the last unit rolled out of the factory. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport has obtained the title but it looks as though it won’t be able to retain the title for too much longer.

TopGear is profiling the new SSC Ultimate Aero II in its October issue. The body looks like something out of this world, literally, and is the result, we presume, of an enourmous amount of wind-tunnel testing. SSC is hoping that it will be able to muster 275 mph with its latest and greatest creation and put itself back in the Guinness World Records book. A full public unveiling of the SSC Ultimate Aero II will be held in February of next year.
