Mercedes-Benz went to great extents to produce the “world’s fastest 3-D film.” Utilizing ex-Formula 1 driver David Coulthard, a helicopter, a SLS AMG chase car, a crew of approximately 72 people, a slew of 3-D cameras, and a closed mountain road on the Isle of Man, a small island off the United Kingdom, a SLS AMG was able to get up to a speed of 162 mph, thus confirming the “fastest 3-D film” title. The video called Manx Meister will be displayed at Mercedes-Benz dealerships and on the Sky 3-D channel, the first 3-D broadcast channel in the United Kingdom. You can view the making of the film, said to be accomplished in only seven hours, and a 2-D teaser video below.
