The third son of the Sultan of Malaysia, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, took his older brother, Tengku Muhammad Faris, to the Kuala Lumpur High Court last September to obtain an order giving him the right to drive their father’s Bentley Brooklands. The petitioner has since removed his action on his father’s wishes.
Fakhry originally alleged he paid for part of the vehicle, but put the car in the father’s name, so that he could have the rights to its use but Faris took the car while Fakhry was abroad and refused to give it back upon his return. The two brothers reached an out-of-court settlement to share rights to the Bentley.
The two brothers have also been disputing over who will succeed the throne when their ill father passes.
