Back in February we reported that Uwe Gemballa had gone missing. With his whereabouts still a mystery to authorities, the company that wore Uwe’s name has closed its doors and had its assets liquidated.

Why Gemballa went to Johannesburg, South Africa, is still unclear but most reports say he headed there to find financial backers for a new dealership. Still some speculate he may have gone on the run because he set up a shadow company under his mother’s name and gave his wife power of attorney before he took his trip so she would have to authority to declare the company insolvent.

Three months have passed since his disappearance so we can only presume the worst. To us it sounds like Gemballa knew the meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, might not go well and put into play a series of events that would leave his wife in a stable position.
