According to a Luxury Institute survey, wealthy consumers rank the Rolls-Royce brand as the most prestigious ultra-luxury automobile brand for 2010. Luxury Institute surveyed wealthy consumers on what they would consider the top-rated ultra-luxury automobile brand. Out of ten, Rolls-Royce was the grand winner with a score of 8.33 while Bentley and Maybach tied for second place, each with a score of 8.05.
The Luxury Institute surveyed 505 ultra-wealthy American consumers—individuals with a weighted average household income of $845,000 and average investable assets of $16.6 million—online. The survey asked its participants to rank the brands on four qualitative aspects: consistent superior quality, uniqueness and exclusivity, making the customer feel special across the entire experience, and being consumed by people who are admired and respected.
