The first Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition sold at Barrett-Jackson for $297,000 in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 3. Besides taking home “Carbon one,” which is a Z06 crossed with some ZR1 and other race-car bits, the winner will be able to get a free tour of the Wixom, Michigan, factory where the Corvette’s LS7 and LS9 engines are built, and, like any ZR1 owner, watch his or her car being built and take delivery of the American muscle machine at the Corvette factory and National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
For some sort of reference point, the first ZR1 sold for one-million dollars in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the first Camaro went for $350,000 at a Barrett-Jackson auction last year.
