Images of a race-ready factory-built version of the SLS have hit the Internet and rumors are it will be called the SLS AMG GT3. No details have been announced but it is anticipated that the car will be completely gutted and much of the interior and exterior bits will be replaced with carbon-fiber pieces to reduce overall weight. Power is likely to increase from 550 to near 600 hp. Price is being estimated to be near that of the Audi R8 LMS GT3, or approximately $500,000. The car will likely go on sale before the 2011 race season.
