**Update** The engine offerings for the 2011 Porsche Cayenne are being reported as follows: a 300-hp 3.6-liter V-6 (10 more ponies than this year’s base Cayenne), a 333-hp hybrid V-6, a 400-hp 4.8-liter V-8 (15 more horsepower than last year’s Cayenne S), and a 500-hp turbocharged version of the same V-8. No word if the 550-hp Turbo S will continue on. A new eight-speed automatic will be made available, though we hope Porsche just offers the seven-speed PDK. A manual transmission will likely still be optional on the base Cayenne. **Update**
In this year’s cold weather it is hard to imagine catching anything naked, but a photographer has spotted the 2011 Porsche Cayenne almost completely undisguised before its official unveiling at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Sharing its platform with the new Volkswagen Touareg, the new SUV is said to weigh 375 pounds less than its predecessor thanks to Porsche ditching some off-road bits like its low-range transfer case and locking rear differential.
