Until then, we have word that one manufacture’s newest sedan has just leaped frogged another manufacturer’s sedan’s previous track record.

One year ago, Cadillac announced that its CTS-V sedan lapped Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 59 seconds, the fastest time ever recorded for a production four-door car. Porsche, which did not sit still when the GT-R claimed the two-door title, has just announced that its Panamera sedan is the new ‘ring master with a time of 7 minutes and 56 seconds—three seconds faster than the Caddy.
