The 11th-annual Gumball 3000 started last Saturday, May 2, at approximately 1 pm in Los Angeles. The 300-mile journey will take the 100 contestants across the United States to the finish line in Miami, Florida. The race includes plenty of sight-seeing detours, including overnight stops and parties in Las Vegas, Dallas, New Orleans, and Orlando. The trek will take eight days, ending in Miami on May 8.
The cars in this year’s Gumball 3000 are about as exciting as some of the celebrities that are driving them; some of the well-known names include David Hasselhoff, Bam Margera, and Tony Hawk. The cars include a pair of Bugatti Veyrons, a Jaguar XJ220, SSC Ultimate Aero, and a handful of Ferraris, Mercedes-Benz SLRs, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and more.
