Top Gear is reportedly going to focus less on the super-exotic cars, like the Ferraris, Porsches, and Lamborghinis, in the future and instead put the spotlight on lower-priced cars due to the world's economic climate. Executive producer Andy Wilman, 48, said the show could not ignore the recession.
"This series we were going to film a road trip with a Lambo and a Porsche," Wilman said "Now it will be cars like the Toyota iQ because they're smart and clever and you can sense the mood. We're not that thick."
Producers also said they wanted to focus more on “greener” models.
