To increase the reach of the brand, Gumpert has teamed up with coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the same company that brought us the Bentley Flying Star wagon amongst many other creations, to offer a second model in what has always been a one-horse show. The new Gumpert Tornante model is set to be unveiled at the next International Geneva Motor Show on March 1, 2011.
The car will offer two-seats and a mid-engine V-8 like its sister supercar. Unlike the Apollo, which has a reputation for being racecar brutal, the new Gumpert will offer more space, elegance, and comfort. However, it will still be far from soft and will utilizes composite body panels and a carbon fiber monocoque for extreme athleticism.
